Cookie Policy
Last reviewed: October 18, 2026
This Policy explains how Bossa Companion uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, service workers) in compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and the ANPD Preliminary Guidelines on data processing through cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites and apps. We also use browser local storage to persist preferences and session state. In this document we refer to all of them as “Cookies”.
2. Categories we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
Essential for the Platform to work, and they cannot be disabled. Examples:
- Session authentication (login cookie);
- Age verification state;
- Protection against automated attacks and misuse;
- Essential preferences (language, theme).
Legal basis: performance of the contract and legitimate interest (LGPD Art. 7, V and IX).
2.2 Functional
They improve the experience but are not essential. Example: message drafts kept locally, adult mode state (SFW/NSFW).
Legal basis: legitimate interest, with an opt-out available.
2.3 Analytics
Only turned on if you accept them. They help us understand how the site is used (for example, where people click and which screen gives them trouble) so we can improve it. We use Microsoft Clarity for this, which records browsing without your name or email. Your conversations, photos and videos are hidden on your own device and are never sent to it.
Legal basis: consent (LGPD Art. 7, I).
This data is not used for advertising or to build a profile of anyone, in compliance with Art. 26 of Law No. 15,211/2025.
2.4 Advertising
We use no behavioural advertising cookies and no retargeting networks.
When you arrive through one of our campaign links, we keep only that campaign's name in your browser, with no identifier, and record it with your sign-up to count how many accounts each campaign brought. If you decline cookies in the notice, that name is not kept.
3. Third-party cookies
Third-party cookies may be used during specific flows:
- During age verification (operated on the specialist provider's own domain);
- During payment processing (page hosted by the authorised processor);
- Media delivery through a CDN, with no analytics cookies;
- Anti-bot protection at sign-up and at payment, by a third-party service that writes its own cookie to tell a person from automation.
4. How to control cookies
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Consents you have given can be withdrawn in the preferences panel available in your account.
5. Consent and updates
We ask for explicit consent before enabling analytics cookies. Material changes to this policy will be announced at least 15 days in advance.
