Synthetic Content Statement

This statement is made by Bossa Companion (“Bossa Companion”, “we”, “our”, “us”) and describes the nature of the content made available on the Platform. In short: all content is generated by artificial intelligence, and no real person is depicted, photographed or filmed in any material on the platform.

1. Nature of the content

  • The AI Companions are fictional creations, generated entirely by artificial intelligence models. They are not people, they do not exist outside the Platform and they do not represent real individuals, living or deceased;
  • No image on the Platform is a photograph, a recording, a scan or a capture of a real person. There is no photo shoot, no film set, no record of a natural person;
  • There is no model, actor, performer or interpreter, human or of any other nature, taking part in the creation of the content;
  • Text dialogue is generated by a language model. There is no person replying on the other side of the conversation, at any moment and under any circumstance.

2. No person depicted
18 U.S.C. 2257 Record-Keeping Requirements Compliance Statement

Foreign record-keeping rules for adult content, notably 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and its regulation, impose on the producer a duty to keep records of the identity and age of every person depicted in sexually explicit conduct. Those rules expressly presuppose the existence of an actual human being depicted in the material.

Bossa Companion does not produce content depicting any real human being. With no person depicted, there is no performer, no identity to verify and no record to keep. The platform therefore falls outside the scope of those record-keeping rules.

This statement does not displace the obligations Bossa Companion does comply with as to the age of the user, which are the subject of the Age Verification Policy and follow the applicable law. They are distinct obligations: one concerns who is depicted in the content, the other concerns who accesses it.

Statement: all visual content on this website is AI-generated. No actual human beings appear in any depiction. Because no actual human being is depicted, the record-keeping obligations of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 do not apply to this material.

3. Technical provenance marking

The synthetic nature of the content does not rest on our word. It is technically verifiable by anyone.

  • Every image delivered by the platform carries, embedded in the file itself, the open marking for content generated by artificial intelligence;
  • The marking declares the digital source type as trainedAlgorithmicMedia, the value defined by the IPTC standard for material generated entirely by a trained algorithm, as opposed to photographic capture;
  • The file also carries an internal tracking code, unreadable to third parties, which lets the platform identify the delivery in case of misuse;
  • Marking is a condition of delivery. An image that cannot be marked is not delivered to the user, and the amount paid is refunded. There is no path by which an unmarked image is produced by the platform.

The marking lives in the canonical file, which is what the platform stores and what you open at full size. Purely visual copies derived from it (list thumbnail, cover crop, blurred preview) are recompressions and, by the nature of the image format, do not carry the signed manifest. Provenance is verified on the canonical file, which is the original artefact and remains intact.

4. The Companions are adults

All AI Companions are conceived and portrayed as fictional adults. Generating, requesting or attempting to obtain material that sexualises a childlike or adolescent appearance, even if fictional, synthetic, drawn or AI-generated, is strictly prohibited, blocked by multiple automated layers and reported to the competent authorities, under the Prohibited Content and Removal Policy and the Minors Policy.

5. Resemblance to a real person

The AI Companions are not created from the image, voice, name or likeness of a real person. Generating content that reproduces an identifiable real person, including a public figure, by deepfake or impersonation, is prohibited by the Prohibited Content and Removal Policy.

Even so, given the statistical nature of generative models, it is not possible to rule out absolutely that a result bears a chance resemblance to someone. If you believe any content on the platform resembles you, or a person for whom you are legally responsible, write to abuse@bossacompanion.com. The request follows the notice-and-removal procedure already in place, with an initial review within 48 business hours and a reply to the notifying party. No prior court order is required.

6. Content submitted by third parties

Bossa Companion is not a user-generated content platform. There is no media upload, no publishing of content from one user to another and no public distribution of the generated material. Each piece of content is generated on demand, in the private context of the session of whoever requested it, and is not shared with other users by the Platform.
